Intrinsic Reef Design was born from a lifelong fascination with aquariums and their ecosystems. The owner, Wes, has been keeping freshwater tanks since grade school. He started his first reef tank in '98. Working at aquarium stores while attending college, he started servicing aquariums for customers. After moving to Austin, and seeing the demand for reliable and knowledgeble aquarium maintenance, Intrinsic Reef Design was founded in 2008. His work has been featured in Reef Hobbyist Magazine, which is distributed to over 1000 aquarium stores. View the 2023 third quarter issue here.
